Global Social Benefit Institute
The GSBI helps social entrepreneurs understand and fill gaps in their organizations that prevent them from achieving scale and helps them identify and find appropriate capital to rapidly increase their impact. AYWA has been a member of previous cohorts and continues to work with mentors and program staff to refine the organization and work to maximize and scale impact.
The Forward Project at the University of Cincinnati
This project involves pairing students and faculty with external experts, all from differing perspectives—to solve today’s problems and develop tomorrow’s workforce in unique and relevant ways. AYWA is working with an interdisciplinary group of students and faculty from the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. The project involves the introduction of AYWA’s pumps and the provision of other complimentary technologies or technique that help improve productivity, efficiency and profitability of pump users.
JDA International
JDA assists in the transformational development of local communities by helping initiate and implement projects in areas of clean water, poverty alleviation, infrastructure development, community health education, agriculture, and emergency aid and relief. Their programs include the introduction of new farming techniques and high protein multiuse crops as well as the introduction of a small tractor that can be used for multiple cultivation and transportation purposes. AYWA is working with JDA on a project to test market JDA’s program and technologies in Senegal.
The Center for the Advancement of Social Enterprise
CASE educates entrepreneurs, incubates their ventures, and develops sustainable enterprise solutions to global poverty. The center oversees an MBA concentration in sustainable enterprise at Colorado State University and the US International University in Nairobi. Through coursework, networking opportunities and practicums, students are empowered to build & incubate profitable ventures that change lives. AYWA is working with CASE to engage a student group in a project oriented around scaling the organization and our model.
FlexNRJ
FlexNRJ SARL, company specializes in the design deployment and maintenance of efficient and renewable energy solution and products. The company is currently focused on introducing solar pumps for irrigation, drinking water, and sanitation purposes. AYWA is currently working with FlexNRJ on a project to retrofit borewells with solar pumps and use this as a platform for introducing horticultural techniques and technologies.
